Bamboo Rafting in Khao Sok

The Quest
Bamboo rafting is a traditional way to travel the rivers of southern Thailand. At Jungle Roots Resort we take you aboard a handmade bamboo raft, steered and paddled by a local guide, for around two hours on the Sok River.
You simply sit back, listen to the jungle and enjoy views of the cliffs. Weather permitting, we stop for a riverside coffee. Please book at least one hour in advance so we can prepare your raft.

Will I get wet on a bamboo raft?
Probably a little. Bamboo rafts sit low in the water, so wear clothes that can get damp.
Do I need to paddle?
No. Your guide paddles and steers the raft for you.
Is bamboo rafting good for older travellers?
Yes. It is calm and seated, making it one of the gentlest river activities.
